Furness Schools U.Dance Festival 2017

Published on 5th April 2017 by in Uncategorized

Furness Schools U.Dance Festival 2017 was a sell-out!

It was a full house of family and friends on both Monday 27th March & Tuesday 28th March 2017 at The Forum Theatre, Barrow in Furness supporting our young performers.

We saw an incredible range of choreography and inspiring ideas from 24 performances; a collaboration between teachers, children and professional artists who all contribute ideas towards the choreography, costume and music selection.

Approximately 700 children took to the stage, some for the first time and there was no doubt that they loved it.  Some even found it hard to leave the stage after their bow.

” I wasn’t scared at all !! ”

” Can we do it again”

” That was awesome! “

A fantastic audience of family and friends cheered on their young performers bursting with pride at their achievements.  An enormous ‘ well done ‘ and thank you to all of our Furness Schools who took part this year:

Roose Primary School, St James CE Junior School, Parkside GGI Academy, Yarlside Academy, South Walney Junior School, Dane Ghyll Primary School, St Pius X Catholic Primary School,  South Walney Infant & Nursery School, Ireleth St Peters Primary School, St Columbas Catholic Primary School, Sacred Heart School, Holy Family, Dowdales, Victoria Academy, Cambridge Primary School, Chapel Street Infant & Nursery School, St George’s Primary School,  DARE Juniors and DARE Youth Dance groups.
