Since 2002 DARE has led over 2000 dance workshops with more than 15,000 participants of all ages and abilities led by 30 dance artists from around the World.  

DARE has worked with and/or been funded by:  European Regional Development Fund, Arts Council England: NW, Awards for All, West Lakes Renaissance, North West Development Agency, Cumbria Sport, Cumbria Arts in Education, Creative Partnerships, Cumbria Youth Opportunity Funds, Cumbria Cultural Skills Partnership, Cumbria N2n Fund, Barrow Borough Council, Furness College, Forum twenty-eight, Sure Start, Barrow Community Learning Partnership, Barrow Excellence Cluster Partnership and Furness School Sports Partnership.

DARE has been awarded funds from Arts Council England: NW, The Sir John Fisher Foundation, Cumbria Youth Opportunity Funds and Barrow Borough Council towards the participation and performance project for 2009-2010. 

DARE is a local partner of Change 4 Life, a government initiative to 'Move More, Eat Well, Live Longer'.  Dance is a great way to have fun and increase your health, vitality and well-being.  Try our community dance classes at Buccleuch Hall, Lindal or Forum twenty-eight in Barrow for Parent & Toddlers, Infants, Juniors, Youth and Adults or book a Family Dance Event for your School, Community Group or Birthday Party.
